Rant or Vent I Guess. Read if you want to

Vent of sorts: Bare with me.
So one thing I've found in all of my time here is that I've never actually had a commission, well, commissioned. I've had a request or two, but other than that, nothing. This is while I was mostly inactive so, I guess I'm really confused why I haven't gotten a single request in the light of my more activeness on the site.
To make it short, I'm wondering what I can do to make more art I guess. Because I want to create and I understand that there are artists out there that are much much better than I am but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to take requests and comissions. My confidence in my art is based on the responses I get and criticism is something I strive to get and when I get none it makes me feel my art is absolutely terrible. I know I shouldn't base my confidence on what others think but I still feel it's important.
Sorry, thanks for reading through. I really needed to get this off my chest as its been bothering me for a really long time.
I do appreciate any and all of those who continuously give me feedback. Honestly it keeps me going. So thank you, you know who you are.
